Our Stories

Eden Market offers our survivors the opportunity to work in a trauma informed environment helping to ensure long-term stability. These are some of our stories that show how important the impact of Eden Market is.

Melinda's Story-An Eden Centers' Survivor

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be an employee at Eden Market. I no longer fight the past or try to hide it. I've faced incalculable loss, trauma, emotional abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. I've struggled with forgiveness and understanding. I've fought to place the broken pieces back together. With hope, truth, and love; all things that are good and right, I am fighting through the darkness. I am a survivor who has found resilience and resistance in faith, courage, and a desire to never give up.

Working for Eden Market has helped me learn to never give up. It has given me the chance to be creative again and taught me how to keep an open mind. Working for Eden market has given me purpose, support, and the sense of belonging while being with a part of a productive team. I love our mission; to create products with a purpose. This is our way to give the community an opportunity to help human trafficking survivors, like me. Thank you, in advance, for all your support!

Megan's Story-Our Eden Market Coordinator

Eden Market is so special to me and the survivors who are employed here. In just a few short months, I have seen two incredible women gain confidence in their skills, but more importantly, confidence in themselves. Having a stable job gives them the opportunity to rebuild their lives and blossom into the person they were each meant to be. Every product the women design and create tells the story of their courage and healing. Through the launch of Eden Market, I am so excited that we get to share that story with everyone. Over time, I can’t wait to see how many women we get to support through their journey to economic independence.
